Pasta with Garlic Oil

Total time: 20 mins

Ingredients:

Yield: 5 servings

    • 8 oz spaghetti, uncooked
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced
    • 1/3 cup olive oil
    • 1/2 cup jarred sliced mushrooms
    • 1/4 cup sliced ripe black olives
    • 2 to 3 tsp minced fresh basil
    • 2 to 3 tsp minced fresh parsley
    • 1/8 tsp garlic salt
    • 1/8 to 1/4 tsp pepper
    • Shredded Parmesan cheese, optional

Directions:

    1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
    2. Meanwhile, sauté garlic in oil in a large skillet.
    3. Stir in mushrooms, olives, basil, parsley, garlic salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
    4. Drain spaghetti; place in serving bowl.
    5. Pour sauce over pasta; toss to coat.
    6. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
