- 1 pkg (16oz) dried green split peas, rinsed
- 1 large carrot, chopped
- 1 celery rib, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 6 cups water
Directions:
- In a 3 or 4 quart slow cooker, combine all ingredients.
- Cook, covered, on lows 7-9 hours or until peas are tender. Discard bay leaf. Stir before serving.
