velveeta nacho bake

Ingredients:

Yield: 4 servings

    • 1 pkg (12 oz) Velveeta Shells & Cheese Dinner
    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 1 pkg taco seasoning mix
    • 3/4 cup water
    • 3/4 cup sour cream
    • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
    • 3/4 cup salsa
    • 1/2 cup coarsely crushed tortilla chips

Directions:

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Prepare Shells & Cheese according to directions.
    2. While pasta is cooking, brown meat; drain.  Add taco seasoning and water to meat; simmer for 5 minutes.
    3. Stir sour cream into Shells & Cheese.
    4. Spoon half of Shells & Cheese into an 8 inch square baking dish; top with meat mixture, half the shredded cheese, and the remaining Shells & Cheese. Cover.
    5. Bake 15 minutes.  Top with salsa, remaining shredded cheese, and crushed tortilla chips.
    6. Bake uncovered and additional 5 minutes.
